We are very happy to announce that the registration for the postgraduate program for string quartets 2023/2024 at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna (MDW) is now open!
The program will start in March 2023 and include 4 sessions of Musethica during the summer semester and winter semester 2023/24. The sessions last around a week and will include masterclasses and concerts accompanied by a tutor, with around 10-12 concerts per session.
The program could be extended for an extra year, according to the wishes of the chosen quartet and with the agreement of the Haydn institute faculty.
We can take the schedule of the chosen quartet into consideration while planning the sessions, of course within the limitations of the MDW’s yearly plan (holidays etc).
As well as sessions in Vienna, it may be possible to arrange a session in one of the 12 countries where Musethica is active.
Avri Levitan and Johannes Meissl are the main teachers but we will offer the quartets the opportunity to be coached by further tutors from the MDW Haydn-Institute.

The official registration deadline by the university is 11th of January but it would be very helpful if you could send us your interest during the weeks before.
There will be a live audition on 13th and 14th of February 2023 in Vienna.
